Freyninet National Park

After driving to the beautifuk Freycinet National Park we hiked up to a lookout on Mt. Amos overlooking the stunning aquamarine colored Wineglass Bay. The viewa were spetacular!

Nourished by a picnic of cheese, sausage and crackers and lots of liquid, we descended a very steep trail to the beautiful white beach of Wineglass Bay along with welcoming cooling sea breezes. While the hikes were very steep and hot, the views were absolutely stunning and spectacular.

After the Wineglass hike we drove to Cape Tourville which also had beautiful views of the coastal area.

Turning south as tea time approached we had a picturesque drive, some of it through a small burnt out area.Eventuall y we found a little, free - and very busy - campground at Mayfield Bay.Chocolate, and beach walking finished off the day!
